A.J. Brown injury: Latest on top Eagles WR’s status for Week 4 vs. Buccaneers

A.J.

A.J. Brown has been unable to log a single practice since experiencing hamstring tightness on Sept. 13, and that trend continued on Wednesday for the Philadelphia Eagles No. 1 wide receiver.  Brown was not spotted by reporters during Wednesday’s team walkthrough. He’s been unable to participate in any football activities since getting added to the Eagles injury report the Friday before their Week 2 game against the Atlanta Falcons.  The Eagles were also without star wide receiver DeVonta Smith, who continues to work his way through the NFL’s five-step concussion protocol. Right tackle Lane Johnson, also knocked out of last week’s win over the New Orleans Saints with a concussion, was estimated as a non-participant but was spotted walking through the facility.  With Britain Covey placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, the Eagles are currently projected to be down to newcomers Jahan Dotson, Parris Campbell and rookie Johnny Wilson at wide receiver against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni met with the media Wednesday but declined to comment on the team’s many injured players, which also includes right guard Mekhi Becton (finger). Brown’s next chance to suit up will come on Thursday.  Projected trade has Eagles adding former SB champion to aid decimated WR group Bryce Huff vs. Josh Uche: Why Eagles made a $51 million blunder in free agency Mekhi Becton injury update: Eagles Tyler Steen a wrecking ball in relief at RG NFL picks, predictions Week 4: Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL Power Rankings Week 4: Where Philadelphia Eagles land after gutsy win over Saints
