Sept. 25, 12:00 p.m.
Jets head coach Robert Saleh shared some positive news on right tackle Morgan Moses, saying the veteran will not be placed on IR.
However, the Jets' starting right tackle will miss "a couple of games" after leaving Thursday's win over New England with a knee injury.
It was previously reported that Moses would miss 2-4 weeks, with four weeks being the minimum amount of time a player must miss if placed on IR.
Saleh did not go into specifics about the injury, simply saying that Moses is "dealing with a knee."
On the other side of the ball, linebacker C.J. Mosley (toe) will not practice on Wednesday. Mosley did not play in the win over the Patriots, as Jamien Sherwood took over his duties in the middle of the defense.
Sept. 19, 6:55 p.m.
The Jets released their inactives for Thursday night's matchup with the New England Patriots and C.J. Mosley (toe) is on that list.
Mosley was listed as questionable heading into Thursday but with the short week, Gang Green likely felt it was best for the veteran linebacker to sit this one out. Jamien Sherwood will take over defensive play-calling duties in Mosley's stead.
OL Max Mitchell and Carter Warren, RB Israel Abanikanda, DL Eric Watts and CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse are also listed on the team's inactives for Week 3.
The team also officially moved Jermaine Johnson (Achilles) to the IR. They signed DL Jalyn Holmes to the active roster and elevated LB Marcelino McCrary-Ball from the practice squad.
Sept. 18, 2:31 p.m.
Linebacker C.J. Mosley has officially been listed as questionable for Thursday's matchup with the New England Patriots due to his toe injury. If Mosley can't go, Jamien Sherwood would take over as the defensive play caller in the middle.
In better news, corners D.J. Reed (knee) and Michael Carter (ankle) were not given game designations, meaning they'll be good to go, barring something unforeseen.

The Jets have a short week as they prepare for their Thursday night home opener against the New England Patriots, and head coach Robert Saleh provided a few quick injury updates on Tuesday morning.
Saleh said that nickel Michael Carter (ankle) is going to be “fine,” calling the injury “an on-and-off thing.”
Meanwhile, corner D.J. Reed, who was inactive for the Week 2 matchup with Tennessee due to a knee injury, is “progressing well,” as is linebacker C.J. Mosley, who left the Titans game with a toe injury.
If Mosley can’t play on Thursday night, Saleh said that he has full confidence in Jamien Sherwood’s ability to communicate the defensive play calls and make the necessary checks.

Linebacker Jermaine Johnson was carted off in the third quarter of the Jets' Week 2 game at the Tennessee Titans due to an Achilles injury and ruled out.
Johnson's injury appeared to be a non-contact one. After rushing the passer on a third-and-1 play at the Titans' 38-yard line, where Will Levis moved up in the collapsing pocket and scrambled for a first down via a 21-yard gain to the Jets' 41 at the 4:41 mark, Johnson went to play his left leg and fell down. He reached down for his lower left leg before he fell down at the Titans' 28-yard line.
Johnson, 25, is a third-year pro after the Jets selected him from Florida State with the 2022 NFL Draft's No. 26 overall pick. In last Monday's 32-19 loss at the San Francisco 49ers, Johnson totaled two tackles.
Sept. 15, 2:40 p.m.
Linebacker C.J. Mosley has been downgraded to doubtful to return for the Jets at the Titans due to a toe injury. At 1:43 p.m., the Jets initially announced that Mosley was questionable with a foot injury.
Mosley was injured on a first-and-10 from the Titans' 16-yard line, where Tony Pollard took a 15-yard carry to the 31 for a first down at the second quarter's 14:51 mark. A horse collar by Jets safety Chuck Clark pushed the ball to the Titans' 46-yard line.
Mosley, 32, is in his fifth season with the Jets. He totaled nine tackles in Week 1.
